Creative Commons Zero – sites to get free stock photography

So I was poking around on a design blog that I like and stumbled across something I hadn’t seen before. Perhaps I’m a little late in the game, but did you know there’s such a creature as Creative Commons Zero? I certainly didn’t! In Lyons, when we have had to use stock photography from online, we’ve used Creative Commons 2.0 or 3.0 where attribution is required, but we didn’t know about CCZ (where attribution is not required).

There are a few stock photography sites out there that use this and I thought that you, our readers and visitors, might find some of them useful:

The collections in these sites are pretty impressive and lovely. I’d still attribute if that was a requirement but I will admit that it’s nice to be able to work freely with some great photos and graphics. If I stumble across others, I will be sure to share them!
